Cannabis Dispensary Manager Location New Buffalo, MI : Cannabis Dispensary Manager Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $100k+/year, Performance incentives with the opportunity to earn up to $150k/year Location : New Buffalo, MI Open to relocation assistance** Urb is on the lookout for an accomplished, dedicated, and skilled individual to assume the role of Dispensary Manager . RESPONSIBILITIES: As Dispensary Manager, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the customer experience, driving sales, and fostering a positive work environment conducive to growth and development. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing day-to-day retail operations, including customer experience, staff development, financial management, inventory control, and compliance. Key duties include but are not limited to:
  • Act as a liaison to the local community.
  • Coach team members effectively and efficiently
  • Cultivate an inviting environment to attract and retain clientele.
  • Create and implement processes and procedures to create efficiencies throughout the departments
  • Oversee and manage the operations of the dispensary, managing up to 200 team members at a time
  • Provide ongoing training for staff in effective customer interaction and education.
  • Manage dispensary employees, from hiring and onboarding to scheduling and supervision.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and address employee concerns.
  • Set and exceed sales, service, and profit goals, implementing process improvements as needed.
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotions strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to create budgets and sales forecasts.
  • Maintain meticulous reports on daily operations and financial aspects.
  • Oversee quality product inventory using specialized tracking systems such as METRC and point of sale systems such as Dutchie.
  • Stay informed about all products, brands, and industry-wide knowledge.
  • Negotiate with wholesalers/vendors to secure quality product supplies.
  • Create and maintain an organized workplace that aligns with Urb's brand and mission.
  • Collaborate in the development and implementation of operational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure staff adherence to best practices and verify dispensary compliance with local and state regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: We are seeking candidates with:
  • Exceptional management and team leadership experience in retail.
  • Proven track record in achieving and surpassing sales goals.
  • Proficiency in store operations and management.
  • Familiarity with inventory, point-of-sale, and other systems and software, including cannabis industry platforms such as Dutchie, METRC, Stash Stock, and Weed Map.
  • Must be proficient with Excel, Canva, and Microsoft Word
  • Strong customer service and vendor relations skills.
  • Experience in hiring, training, mentoring, and talent development.

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum age of 21.
  • BA or BS Degree is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in high-volume retail sales or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Successful completion of a state-required background check for the cannabis industry.
  • Ongoing compliance with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry.
