The Construction Laborer supports Krugel Cobbles, Inc.’s hardscape installation projects by assisting skilled crews in site preparation, material handling, and installation tasks. This role requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards to ensure high-quality craftsmanship that reflects the company’s reputation.
Site Preparation & Setup
Load, unload, and stage materials, tools, and equipment.
Prepare work areas by clearing debris, grading surfaces, and setting up barricades or safety signage.
Assist in marking layouts for paver patterns, masonry lines, and hardscape features.
Installation Assistance
Support skilled installers by cutting, placing, and aligning pavers, bricks, or stone under supervision.
Operate basic tools and small equipment such as compactors, saws, and mixers.
Assist in setting retaining walls, edging, drainage systems, and other hardscape components.
Maintenance & Cleanup
Keep tools, equipment, and vehicles clean and organized.
Remove job site debris and maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment.
Report damaged tools, unsafe conditions, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
Participate in daily safety briefings and job hazard assessments.
Maintain awareness of surroundings to prevent accidents or property damage.
Previous experience in construction, landscaping, masonry, or paving preferred but not required.
Knowledge of basic construction tools, equipment, and materials.
Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds, bend, kneel, and work on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability.
Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills quickly.
Commitment to producing high-quality work.
Outdoor work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy equipment.
Early morning start times, with potential overtime and occasional weekend work.

Starting pay: $17.00 – $17.50/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Daily interaction with yard staff, vendor staff, colleagues, management, and customers. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
