HARVEST CELLAR TECH

GENERAL
• Work location: Vina Robles Winery, Paso Robles, CA
• Temporary harvest, full-time, non-exempt position
• Available to work extra hours, weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
• This position reports to the Cellar Master

TECHNICAL TASKS – WINERY
• Assisting Vina Robles winemaking team in all aspects of harvest and wine production
• Assuming responsibility for winemaking work involving the crush and vinification process (including must & wine transfers, barrel work, draining, pressing, shoveling, cleaning, etc.)
• Operating and maintaining winery equipment (crushing equipment, press, pumps, forklift, barrel washer, minor plumbing, etc.)
• Performing winery lab analysis as needed (Brix, Temp., etc.)
• Receiving of goods (grapes, barrels, supplies, etc.)
• Completing all jobs according to Vina Robles' QC standards
• Operate in a safe and cooperative team environment
• Additional duties and responsibilities as needed

2. PLANNING & ADMINISTRATION
• Assist in coordinating cellar work with cellar master
• Recording of cellar work on work orders and/or work board
• Assist in maintaining complete and up-to-date inventory control for all wines in storage and all barrel inventory, cased goods, winery supplies, equipment and tools
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
• Prior winery work and forklift experience
• Reliable team player with strong attention to detail and quality winemaking
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
• Must be able work on your feet throughout the day and climb stairs
